The IBC Re-opening Plan and Provisions (Published May 7, 2020)

Many have been inquiring about when and how Immanuel Baptist Church is going to reopen its doors to live services. After much discussion and continuing prayer with our deacons and others, we have determined to restart our live worship services on Sunday, May 31.

This will give us time to complete the installation of the audio/video equipment we need to make worship feasible from the Ministry Center and also available for live-stream to those with reservations about attending. As just mentioned, we will continue live-streaming our  Sunday Morning Worship, Sunday Evening Prayer Meeting, and Wednesday Bible Study and service.

We will also continue to Zoom our Sunday Morning Bible Class, preceding worship. These offerings allow us to continue connecting our shut-ins and those members who may be temporarily ill or are traveling. Nevertheless, despite the fact that our Sunday and Wednesday services will be live once again, we will not be offering childcare, nursery, or regular Sunday morning Bible Study classes, just yet.

Because the current virus is still prevalent, we understand that young children cannot distance themselves from their little friends, senior citizens may feel unsafe in open venues, and others may be immuno-compromised. To those with any such reservations about attending live services, we offer you our understanding and prayer.

Please do not feel yourself under any obligation to attend live services. For those who do wish to reengage in corporate worship, we will provide our morning worship service in the Ministry Center, where it will be easier to provide more distance.

Furthermore, the four exits from the Center will allow people to exit more easily, without being forced into one passageway. Added to these options, masks will also be provided, at the entry door. Thank you for your continuing support and prayers.

We cherish this Church family we call, "Immanuel Baptist Church!"
